#OVCN2017

In 17 days, we will be at our annual conference. I may be a little biased, but this year is going to be something special. Our theme “Together We Can Achieve” is based around our value in learning from one another. We are excited about many particular sessions that will enable us to learn from each other and other professionals.

We will be having a session completely devoted to sharing fundraising initiatives between Volunteer Centres. This will not only create a space to learn from one another, but will hopefully also create a space for creativity. We will be hearing from 3 different Volunteer Centres across Ontario: Volunteer Ottawa, Volunteer and Information Quinte, and Volunteer Action Centre of Kitchener-Waterloo. We are thankful for each Volunteer Centre and their willingness to share their experiences in fundraising.

We will also be providing informative sessions for many different groups of people. From Executive Directors to board members to senior staff, we have sessions that will be informative and applicable. Some of those sessions include Succession Planning and Leadership Development, The 3 Indisputable Principles for Successfully Executing Strategy, and Outcomes Measurement.

The annual conference is always such an exciting time for leaders from across the province to come together in the same space and share, network and learn. Feedback every year points to the ability to connect with colleagues from across Ontario as one of the most rewarding parts of the conference. It is always so inspiring to hear about the innovative and engaging activities of volunteer centres. 2017 is sure to be no different!
