COVID. Volunteers. Volunteer Centres.

Every day in every way, volunteers in our communities answered the call to action.

Delivering food, supporting vaccination clinics, help phones, virtual programming, board leadership and more.

How do volunteers find out how to volunteer in their community? Through Volunteer Centres.

Our network of Volunteers Centres in Ontario served more than 3 million volunteer seekers and 4200+ organizations and grass roots groups during the pandemic.

We launched new, intensive initiatives focused on enabling organizations to engage volunteers including:

• Capacity-building education (COVID-19 specific training, program changes)
• Intensive coaching and support
• Leading new programs to meet emerging community demands (e.g. PPE creation/delivery, emergency volunteer training)

Volunteers are a vital and powerful resource in our communities, across Ontario and throughout the country. Volunteer Centres are the lead catalysts that generate engagement to support the sector.

As Volunteer Centres, we can assist individuals find a meaningful volunteer opportunity, build capacity in volunteer engagement in grassroot groups, nonprofits and charities.
